Concept & Essence

"Kaalatita" — meaning beyond time — portrays a saint who has transcended the cycles of birth, death, and duality. Seated at the center of the Kaalchakra (Wheel of Time), this Sadhu becomes the still axis around which the universe spins.

The cosmic wheel behind him contains embedded forms: on the left, the Shakti Tattva, representing divine feminine energy ; on the right, the Shiva Tattva, symbolized through the Trishul, denoting masculaine energy. Together, these archetypes converge around the Sadhu, who has harmonized both within himself.

His piercing gaze, ash-smeared skin, and symbolic adornments reflect both austerity and grace. Rendered in soft pastels, the artwork captures the paradox of fierce stillness — a state where time dissolves and the essence alone remains.

Kaalatita (कालातीत) is not just a portrait but a spiritual yantra — a meditation on timeless presence and integrated divinity.
