Concept & Essence
“Ramamaya” - meaning pervaded by Ram in every breath and being - is a celebration of pure Bhakti Rasa in its most surrendered form.
This work portrays Lord Hanuman not as a warrior, nor as a servant in motion, but as devotion itself - dissolved in divine remembrance. His lifted arms, upward gaze, and radiant aura embody the ecstasy of surrender, where ego dissolves and only the Divine Name remains.
Interwoven across the entire canvas are 1008 handwritten inscriptions of “Ram”, each rendered as a conscious act of offering.
These sacred repetitions are not immediately dominant to the eye - they reveal themselves gradually. Upon closer viewing or zooming in, the surface unveils the mantra embedded within texture, color, and movement.
The number 1008 holds deep spiritual resonance - symbolizing completeness, divine totality, and the cosmic cycle of devotion. Here, it transforms the painting from image into mantra.
At the center of his being resides the sacred presence of Ram and Sita - symbolizing the eternal truth of Bhakti: that the Divine is not distant, but enthroned within the heart of the devotee.
